Planning is underway for the Fall Conference and Awards Dinner scheduled for October 3-4, 2011 in Boston. The event features insightful speakers, the Excellence in Communications Awards, and the Award for Achievement in Applied Retirement Research.
This year’s meeting will also introduce the first winner of the Academic Thought Leadership Award. Confirmed speakers include:
Victor Davis Hanson, American military historian, columnist, political essayist, scholar of ancient warfare, and currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution.
Michael S. Finke, PhD Coordinator, Division of Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University and co-chair of the Retirement Management Journal’s Academic Peer Review Committee.
Doug Short, CEO of dshort.com, who will share updated market data to complement a historical perspective. His dshort.com website is part of his pro-bono efforts to assist others in maintaining control of their financial life cycles in today’s complex world economy. All are invited to attend.
